Fight homelessness in Gwinnett! All proceeds benefit The Salvation Army. Home Sweet Home Gwinnett is an emergency housing program of The Salvation Army reaching out to homeless families in Gwinnett.

Families with children currently comprise 41 percent of the homeless population and as a result, the average age of a homeless person in Georgia is only nine years old! Recognizing that this crisis has quickly spread beyond the traditional boundaries of the city, The Salvation Army has created Home Sweet Home Gwinnett, to stand in the gap and provide emergency housing for our neighbors in need. Home Sweet Home Gwinnett is currently the only rapid re-housing program in Gwinnett County to stabilize families in crisis by providing furnished apartments, thereby reducing the stigma of homelessness. The program includes comprehensive case management which strives to break the cycle of poverty by addressing its root causes and combating them with education, counseling and personal accountability based on a strong Christian foundation.

Family Promise
The Mission of Family Promise of Gwinnett County, Inc. is to mobilize communities of congregations that partner with social service agencies to end homelessness - one family at a time..

Family Promise

Home Sweet Home
The perception of a homeless person has transformed in recent years. Families
are now among the fastest growing segment of the homeless population, making
up about 41% of the entire homeless population. The average age of a homeless
person in the United States is 9 years old. A sudden job loss or even medical bills
from an accident like a broken arm can prevent a family from making their rent
or continue making payments on their mortgage. The numbers of evictions and
foreclosures have soared and a family who never thought it possible, are now
finding themselves homeless.

Lawrenceville Co-Op
